Racing can be cruel. This week we lost our talented import galloper Kitten On The Run who broke his leg at track work. This horse was set for a very good spring campaign based on his work and his first up run. I still cannot believe it.
Then just to top it off, our Chilean staying mare Sabor A Triunfo has gone lame and will miss the spring carnival. Peter Snowden had planned to run in the Newcastle Cup next and then on to bigger and better races.
