Brilliant beginner Dezie Fields broke through for an overdue win in today’s Cerebral Palsy Mixed 3/4 Stake. Since winning at Mandurah back on June 25 the son of El Galo had been a minor place getter six times in a row.

Back in May he started twice over 297m at Northam for a win and a second and he appreciated the return to Burwood Park this afternoon. Race favourite Sassy Chaos began well out of box two but Dezie Fields quickly rushed past her and won by over a length.

He recorded a slick 17.13 and now has 3 wins and 9 minor placings from his 14 starts in WA.

“Hounds to Follow”

RACE 3 NUMBER 8 LEDARO TARA : Ran a solid second at her Northam debut and she won’t take long to win one in WA.

RACE 5 NUMBER 10 BEE TEE YOU : Battled on gamely and clocked approximately 30.32.
