The Team
Perth
All That Sizzle|Neville Parnham – in the paddock – due to return late February. Really looking forward to seeing her return as she can run!
All Square|Simon Miller – this horse was very unlucky not to have opened her winning account last start – a very ordinary ride cost her – she was very brave to hold on after being in a speed battle for most of the race. She will head to Bunbury next Sunday and if the previous run hasn’t taken it out of her – she should be hard to beat.
Hit Tune |Fred Kersley – after coming back from a serious injury he hasn’t been the same so far this campaign – his early form suggested he was going to be a real racehorse. Fred took him back to trials to sharpen him up – hopefully, we see the real Hit Tune next start.
Nicconi’s Boy|Neville Parnham – our last start winner who is now on the injury list is enjoying his break to recover – Neville has an opinion of the horse so we are hoping he will return and deliver on his promise.
Perspectiva|Fred Kersley – unfortunately was diagnosed with a bone chip in her knee – she has had the surgery and now it is a matter of time. Fred said she looks to have ability based on her work before the injury.
Pick Up Line|Fred Kersley – back in work and is pleasing Fred with his work attitude – it is rare for Fred to make a comment that a horse is going well – so we are crossing our fingers he steps up to metro class – if not we will send him back to Kalgoorlie for the season.
Locklear |Neville Parnham – in the paddock and doing well – Neville believes she has the ability but just wasn’t mature enough to sustain a solid campaign last time in.
Something Big |Neville Parker – unfortunately this fellow injured himself at his last run – he is on the bench for a few weeks before being assessed on whether we can move forward this campaign or not.
Vision Up|Neville Parker – we were expecting more at the last start where she finished 6th in an Ascot maiden beaten 3 lengths – we hope to see her improve off that run.
War God|Neville Parnham – in the paddock – has been out around 11 weeks – Neville will look at him this week to consider a return within the next two weeks.
Melbourne
Hula Star|Robbie Griffiths – ran 5th first up after blundering the start badly – she is a talented galloper -having had 10 starts for 2 wins and 4 placings. She will go close to winning next start.
Oceanex|Mick Price – unraced 2YO – will trail at Geelong tomorrow over 1000 metres.
Pemberley|Aaron Purcell – in the paddock.
Sweet Distraction|Mick Price – has gone to the paddock after her first race start where she finished 7th of 8 at Moonee Valley – Mick says she isn’t an early two-year-old – he believes she is going to make the grade as she matures.
United Arab Emirates
Shamaal Nibras|Doug Watson – Winners Are Grinners!!! He won the Group 3 Jebel Ali Mile on Friday – he won convincingly by 2 lengths.
