Over the years the Inglis Classic Sale has shown to a very good value sale capable of producing group race winning gallopers, including last year’s Group 1 stars Brazen Beau and Peggy Jean.

The sale has been very good to OZ Racing – this is where we picked up our talented gallopers Just A Kiseki, Shotgun Kid, Striking Guru and Prince of Sands to name four.

Our promising 2YO Watijadoo also was purchased from this Sale.

The Dam – Our Parfumee

The colt’s dam Our Parfumee is a daughter of Champion sire and broodmare sire Royal Academy. This colt is the second living foal of Our Parfumee.

Our Parfumee is a metropolitan class winner of two races over 1000 metres – one of those as a two year old.

She is a full sister to the stakes winning Liberty Rose, the winner of the SAJC Morphettville Guineas – she also ran second at Group 3 level in Melbourne in the MVRC W.H. Stocks Stakes.

Liberty Rose has proven to be a very good broodmare, having produced five individual winners, including the WATC Crawford Stakes winner Grand Jardin, a winner of five races from 1000 to 1100 metres. As well as Liberty’s Choice, a mare placed twice at Group 2 level in the Queensland Guineas and the ATC Shannon Stakes.

Our Parfumee is also a half-sister to Cherry Lodge, a winner at 1300 metres who is the dam of Kazan, a winner of five races including the Group 3 BRC Glenlogan Park Stakes and placed at Group and listed level six times.

The colt’s second dam Cherry Garden is an unraced daughter of the mighty Sir Tristram. She is a three quarter sister to the Group 1 placed Liberty Hall, a winner of three races ranging from 1500 metres to 2,000 metres. She is also a full sister to the mare Abbotsford, the dam of Tantra, a listed winner as a two year old.

The third dam is the Group 3 winning Bluebird mare Freedom Fields, the winner of the Group 3 VATC Blue Diamond Prelude. She is also a half-sister to stakes winners Equal Rights and Adopted Hero.

In summary, Our Parfumee’s dam line shows they produce two year old winners. Her pedigree shows black type runners all the way through the second and third dam line. This further supports the case that this colt should hit the ground running early.
